Muléy has received the following endorsements from individuals in the business and philanthropic community:
At General Motors, we continue to focus on the important role that women play as a consumer group. Last year alone, consumer spending by women was over $3.7 trillion. And, they influence the decision to buy 85 percent of all cars and trucks sold in the United States. We just can't ignore this influential group of consumers.
Miriam Muléy took a leading role in helping General Motors understand our diverse customers. GM continues to recognize women as an important market share opportunity, and we'll certainly continue Miriam's good work to educate our employees on women as a valuable growth market.

As a marketer who has successfully developed marketing plans for several brands for large, medium and small companies, Miriam understands how to sell to consumers. What she brings to the table, in addition to strong marketing skills, is the professional insight of what drives women of diverse backgrounds to consider a brand for future purchase. Muléy understands the strategic, operational and diversity aspects of marketing. Few individuals bring so much to the table.

I have known Miram Muléy professionally for over fifteen years. She first worked with me at Avon Products, Inc. where I served as SVP of Marketing and she managed our multicultural advertising and promotional efforts for the firm. She later was hired by Avon to spearhead the Women of Color Business Unit and was successful in turning the business around to positive growth. My most recent professional experience with Miriam was at Carson Products, where she was hired as Vice President of Marketing and was quickly promoted to Executive Vice President, Marketing supporting the U.S. business.
Miriam has proven herself to be an articulate, resourceful and strategic business thinker in the area of marketing to women and in overall diversity business management. Her experience across several industries--Automotive, Cosmetics, Fragrance, Toiletries--and hands-on profit and loss experience in managing brands in the general market and diverse markets places her in a unique role as a business professional. Further, as a woman, as a woman of Puerto Rican ancestry and as a woman of color, she brings personal insights to leveraging diversity that few individuals have.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Miriam for over ten years when she came on board at Avon Products as Director of the African American Business unit and was later asked to take on the role of General Manager for that unit. At the time, I served as VP of Human Resources for Avon Products, Inc.
Miriam is a highly credible marketer and has distinguished herself with a keen understanding of what it takes to grow market share among consumers in general, and among diverse consumers, in particular. Given the increasingly important role that diversity plays in fueling the economic engine of corporate America, I believe Miriam's experiences and insights on how to create and implement an integrated diversity business plan will be of tremendous value and learning.
